Mission: The mission of Audit Services is to assist the Board of Regents and University management in the discharge of their oversight, operating and management responsibilities through independent reviews and advisory services designed to evaluate and promote the system of internal controls including effective and efficient operations.

Vision: The vision of Audit Services is to achieve consistent excellence in its product and provide the highest level of service to all levels of University management.

Program Services: The mission of audit services is carried out through a program encompassing the following:

• Planned audits of business activities

• Departmental internal control reviews

• Advisory services which assist management in accomplishing business objectives and mitigating risk

• Investigation of fraud and misuse of University resources

• Internal control, accountability and fraud awareness training

• Participation in systems development and business process improvement efforts

• External audit coordination
