Description
UCSB Audit and Advisory Services provides independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve UCSB's operations. Audit and Advisory Services helps UCSB accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. Under general direction of the Audit and Advisory Services Director, the Assistant Director is responsible for the daily operations and conduct of a comprehensive audit program, providing internal audit services in accordance with systemwide and campus Internal Audit Program standards, policies and procedures, and the Institute of Internal Auditors’ International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF). Assignments will encompass all departments, administrative units, programs, and activities associated with the UC Santa Barbara campus. Preferred candidates will have higher education internal auditing experience in a major research university.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, computer science, or a related field and ten to fifteen years of auditing or compliance related experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and education within a higher education institution. A professional certification is required in one or more of the following: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
